View of the village centre from the Chleebuck
In the middle there is the former local administrative office. Just above there is the Kaserne (barracks), a beautiful half-timbered building with red shutters. Two buildings further to the left there is the most gorgeous half-timbered building of the village, the Holländer's house. At the village's crossroads on the right side, there is a big building with a pointed roof. It is called »Zum Schweizerbund« and was an inn in the past. The little tower-shaped building at the bottom is a transformer-station. On the meadow on the right there was a factory for tiles until 1917. Only the remaining little Wuhr bridge (not in the photograph) and some broken pieces of tiles remind us of these days. The greenhouses over the Kaserne belong to Weber's market-garden. Beside the market-garden on the Chuttler southern slope there are three splendid new houses. In the top left-hand corner, there is Opfertshofen and Wiechs am Randen (Germany) in the background.
