The local administrative office with integrated fire brigade magazine and community archives (left building part)

This multipurpose building was built in 1992 on the site of the old fire brigade's magazine which was in need of renovation. It consists of a community room with office, community archives, fire brigade magazine and a residential building part on the right-hand side. Thereby communal meetings and sessions, elections and votes can be carried out all at the same location now. Before the building was constructed the air-raid shelter had to be used as an assembly room. The well thought-out project could be realised very economically thanks to good co-operation between the district council and the owner of the private part, Walter Fuchs junior. This joint-venture was very important for Hofen since it has very limited funds. In the magazine, there is the modern equipment of the voluntary fire brigade Hofen. On the left, next to the magazine door, the proud lion of Hofen makes a spectacle of himself.
